Tanks with PFA lining for maximum load

Various tanks, built in the dual-laminate process and lined with PFA panels

An insufficient corrosion protection of plant components causes a significantly shorter service life and a high maintenance requirement. As a result, the repair costs increase, while the operational safety and the efficiency of the plant stagnate.

Industrial plants today are designed for reliable high-performance operation, created through repeatedly tested corrosion protection with AGRU PFA panels. For the current project, AGRU PFA panels coated with knitted glass fibre are delivered to the processor Plasticon China Co., Ltd. by the German company KVG Kunststoff-Vertriebs KG.

The tanks for the distribution and containment of the highly corrosive and toxic hydrofluoric acid (HF) were built in a dual-laminate process. The construction method is characterised by a high temperature resistance and suitability for vacuum applications. The well-known processor Plasticon China Co., Ltd. uses the process with great expertise.

The fluoropolymer PFA (perfluoroalkoxy-polymer) is widely used in chemical processes and is considered the industry standard for extreme chemical and thermal load.
