First aid course 2018

For most people, this was their first refresher course since they passed their driver’s licence: Recovery position? What was that again? Cardiopulmonary resuscitation? Where do I start again? I hope never to be in a situation where I have to help - I don’t want to make it worse!

Bruno Vohl, a voluntary trainer and former rescue service driver of the German Red Cross, introduced interested KVG employees, who arrived on a Saturday morning for a first aid course offered by the company, to the topic of first aid with much humour, and in the next few hours alleviated the participants’ fear of providing incorrect first aid in an emergency situation.

Mr Vohl showed how to use a defibrillator, which persuaded the management that KVG should have its own defibrillator. This will soon be acquired and will provide a little more safety for the health not only of employees, but ultimately of all customers, visitors and suppliers.
