Benefits for the Semiconductor Industry
Whether semi-finished products for cabinet construction or piping systems for UPW, chemicals, and exhaust gases – we supply the right components for your semiconductor manufacturing applications.
Exhaust Gas and Ventilation Systems
Aggressive exhaust gases are generated during semiconductor production and must be reliably extracted. Our plastic solutions are perfectly suited for this purpose.
- Corrosion-free pipes and fittings
-
High chemical resistance even with aggressive media
-
Durable, lightweight, and easy to install
-
Compliant with FM4922 and FM4910 standards and guidelines
Reliable exhaust systems that ensure long-term operational safety.
- FM 4922 – Approval standard for fume exhaust ducts (limiting flame and smoke propagation, suitable for use in cleanrooms).
- FM 4910 – For cleanroom construction materials used in surrounding environments (fire and smoke behavior); available.
- IEC 61340-5-1 – ESD control program; relevant for dissipative materials.

Cabinet Construction & System Structures
Durable and clean constructions that meet the high demands for material purity.
- FM 4910 – Flame and smoke development standard for cleanroom materials (quality feature for cleanroom-compatible plastics such as PP, PVC, CPVC, PVDF in FM 4910 variants).
- ISO 14644-1 – Classification of air cleanliness in cleanrooms (ISO classes 4–7).
- IEC 61340-5-1 / ANSI/ESD S20.20 – Requirements for electrostatically protected areas (EPA); relevant for dissipative or ESD-compatible plastic variants.
In short – FM 4910:
FM 4910 is a cleanroom standard by FM Global that defines fire and smoke development behavior of materials used in cleanrooms. Materials compliant with FM 4910 reduce flame spread and smoke density – an important factor in preventing contamination during chip production.

Hook-Ups & Modules in the Frontend Area
Connecting process equipment requires flexible, tight, and pure connection systems.
-
Connection solutions for modules, subfab, and process cells
-
Dead space–optimized fittings and hoses
-
Precisely matched components for custom designs
-
Compliant with SEMI F57 (UHP) and SEMI S2 (semiconductor equipment) standards and guidelines
Reliable and efficient hook-ups that minimize downtime and maintain purity standards.
- SEMI F57 – UHP components such as PFA hoses, PVDF fittings, and UHP valves.
- SEMI S2 – EHS guideline for semiconductor equipment.
- IEC 61340-5-1 – ESD control program, applicable when dissipative or ESD-controlled hook-ups are required.

Ultrapure Water and Chemical Supply
Ultrapure water (UPW) and process chemicals must be transported without contamination. Our piping systems ensure consistent quality and purity at all times.
-
Pipes, fittings, and valves made of PP, PVDF, PFA, and others
-
Excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals
-
Low particle and ion release
-
Compliant with SEMI F57 (UHP) and ISO 10931 standards and guidelines
Maximum purity and process reliability for critical media.
- SEMI F57 – Specification for Ultra High Purity (UHP) polymer materials used in UPW and chemical distribution systems.
- ISO 10931 – PVDF piping systems for industrial applications.
- ISO 15494 – Thermoplastic piping systems for industrial applications (e.g., PP, PB, PE).
- ASTM F2618 – CPVC pipes and fittings for chemical waste systems.
- SEMI F18 – Guideline for the design and sizing of thermoplastic piping systems.
Note: For UPW and chemical applications, we recommend UHP plastics such as PFA and PVDF-HP in accordance with SEMI F57; PVDF systems compliant with ISO 10931 are the industry standard.
